I always enjoy visiting Mosques during my travels. The beauty of a Mosque’s architecture is often breathtaking and the design inside it’s walls resonate tranquility.
I’ve dugg up some beautiful Masjids photos from around the world that I hope you will enjoy. I’ve tried my best to also name which country each Masjid is in.

Thank you for your comments. I think it is important for us to keep taking pictures of our beautiful Masjids in the world as it is a reminder of the beauty in Islam. I believe there is a hadith that says “God is Beautiful and He loves beauty.”

They are all beautiful mosques. But we should make them “live” with our shalat in those mosques not only every Friday but 5 times a day, jama’ah. Allahu Akbar

It interests me that in all of the appropriate images, the name Palestine replaces Israel. While I personally do not believe one name is more right than the other, I find it intriguing that the older, less recognized name is prefered in this usage.
Perhaps the mosques in question could be listed by their cities? After all, the Dome of The Rock, for example, is associated far less with either Israel or Palestine than it is with the city of Jerusalem. It would avoid the issue entirely.
Again, while I myself have no problem with the location naming as it is, I think saying Palestine and omitting Israel is perhaps suggestive of a more Arabic viewpoint of that particular region of the world. While not wrong, per se, this usage would seem to me a less open and potentially more off-putting way of locating these beautiful buildings than need be, and that slanted viewpoint may detract unnecessarily from such beauty.
Just a thought. Assalaamu ‘Aleykum.

Masha Allah great Effort. I want to suggest that you should write the names of these Mosques alongwith their history in comprehension. There is a newly built Mosque in a small village namely Kotla Reham Ali Shah Near Shehr Sultan (Distt Muzafar Garh & Tehsil Jtoi). It is a very sincere effort by a Pakistani Doctor working in America. You should add that Mosque very soon, which is prominent by its shape and Natural Beauty.

i became amused to see these mosques from different muslim countries.but i suggest the uploader or the photographer to have some pictures from Bangladesh. Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, is famous for the most number of mosque all over the world. there is a lot of mosques in Dhaka itself as well as in every corner of the country….a lot of historical mosques also situated there built a hundred years ago. so i wish there would be some nice scenery of those heritages and mosques with these marvelous architectures or might you have a missing from muslim world..!

Imam Husseyn mosque in Kerbala is my favorite mosque in the world.
Imam Ali mosque in Najaf is also spectacular.
You also forgot Great Mosque and Al Askari mosque, both in Sammara.
Some mosques in Baghdad are spectacular, such as Abu Hanifa and Al Kadhimiya.

but i thought i’d leave a comment – im doing my gcses and for our textiles project, the theme is ‘buildings around the world’. so i began to collect images of big ben, eiffel tower etc. but u’re website really opened my eyes and now thanx to you, i will have a completely different theme to everyone else in my class which makes it more original.

I have seen the all Masjids (Mosques) really found so beautiful and excellient work of the photographers but I am sorry to say that the Khana Kaba, you did not put on top please always keep the Khana Kaba on Number 1(Top) position and then Roza – e – Rasool as these are so beautiful and has the great importance for Muslims as great links.
